I was victorious in my race for Judge, First City Court, and I am writing to express my heartfelt thanks to each of you for your kind and generous support. This was my first run for office, and I started with little more than the hope that 25 years of law practice and a willingness to work hard would be enough to attract followers and, one after another, you joined my campaign-- you gave me money, time, encouragement and, ultimately, your precious vote. A short letter—or an even longer one-- could never express the indebtedness I feel to you , however I pledge that my work on the court will be guided by your wonderful spirit and my desire to always make you proud you chose to support me.
